by Brandon Davis

Happy birthday, Rob Zombie! The musician and director is celebrating his 51st birthday today.

Rob Zombie is known to some as a musician for his work in the heavy metal band, White Zombie, as their lead vocalist. To others, he is known for directing terrificly horrifying and often gore-heavy horror films such Halloween, Halloween II and The Devil's Rejects.

Zombie's directorial debut came in 2003, with House of 1000 Corpses, which was the predecessor to 2005's Rejects. To date, he is credited for directing 11 movies and episodes of TV shows, however, his music has been featured in over 70 productions. His next film, 31, arrives later this year.

He has also dropped some time into acting, as well. He lent his voice for James Gunn's projects, Slither and Super, and popped a few cameos into Guardians of the Galaxy, House of 1000 Corpses, and Airheads.
