Legends-of-Tomorrow-Progeny

DC's Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim just tweeted the title page for the series' tenth episode, which starts filming today.

Titled "Progeny," the episode is written by Guggenheim with Legends showrunner Phil Klemmer and will be directed by David Geddes, who served as cinematographier on the show's pilot, as well as on series like Under The Dome, Fringe and Almost Human. He was also the director of photography on the film Trucker and Dale vs. Evil.

You can see the tweet below.

What's arguably the most interesting element of the cover is that the episode is titled "Progeny." We've long known that Connor Hawke, who in the comics is the literal progeny of Oliver Queen, will appear on Legends.

But, of course, in a time-travel series, it's not unexpected to see things like that. Heck, they've already "100%" confirmed that older or younger versions of Arrow's Oliver Queen and The Flash's Barry Allen will appear on Legends. But what about their successors as heroes, or those of others, such as the cast of Legends?

DC is rife with "legacy heroes," sometimes children of the original heroes and sometimes not, who serve as the next generation of heroes, carrying on the names and missions of those who came before. Could "Progeny" see at least one such character?

Or, on a darker note, perhaps Vandal Savage's children? In the comics, he has a son and a daughter; in the pre-Flashpoint DC Universe, he also had a (different) daughter, a character many fans would like to see appear on the show. Savage's son, of course, is currently the big bad in Superman comics.

This is all speculative, of course...but don't put anything fast these guys...!
