LINE Webstoon has announced The Bad Guys by LG Lancaster and Orlando Caicedo are the grand prize winners of its Superhero Comics Contest. The Bad Guys was chosen from hundreds of entries, and earns the creators a publishing contract and $30,000 from LINE Webtoon, plus guidance and development from comics legend Stan Lee.

The Bad Guys is described as "a superhero comedy heist comic with a cast of characters supremely out of their depth. Dealing with daddy issues, bad breakups, decades-old grudges and profound professional inadequacies, the whole endeavor is pretty much a foregone conclusion. Bad guys never win."

New chapters of The Bad Guys will begin weekly online publication in summer 2016.

Fans were able to vote for their favorite comics out of the more than 500 entires. The 20 most popular became finalist, and were considered by LINE Webstoon's editorial team. The Bad Guys took the top prize, while second place went to Supersonic Girl by Ryotashi. Inarime and unORDINARY were named as the third and fourth place winners, respectively.

With more than 10 years of experience in Korea, LINE Webtoon launched in the U.S. in 2014. By participating in the comics contests hosted throughout the year, aspiring creators have the chance to be part of this next step for LINE Webtoon and the world of digital comics.

Creators hoping to have their work featured by LINE Webstoon can participate in the site's Challenge League, where at least one comic per month is chosen for the spotlight by the site's editorial team.
