Felicity Smoak is getting a visit from her former self!

In a 2014 episode of Arrow, "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak," we got to see flashbacks of Felicity (portrayed by Emily Bett Rickards) when her younger self was going through a Goth-phase. A new international promo for Wednesday's "A.W.O.L." episode shows that the darker version of the computer whiz is making her return.

Check out the international promo in the video below.

DIGGLE VS. SHADOWSPIRE — Diggle (David Ramsey) must learn to trust his brother Andy (guest star Eugene Byrd) when an enemy of their wartime past, an agent of the criminal organization Shadowspire, pays a visit to Star City. However, Diggle learns more than he bargained for about their shared time at war. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) has to learn a whole new way of life.

Charlotte Brandstrom directed the episode written by Brian Ford Sullivan & Emilio Ortega Aldrich.

"A.W.O.L." episode of Arrow airs Wednesday, January 27 at 8PM on The CW.

  1. Looks like the Arrow writers are intent on completely flushing this show down the toilet. This is Arrow....not the "Olicity Hour"

This isn't about making the show about her. Quit complaining. A main character suffered a major injury, it's only right that she get focus in this episode.

I feel like Felicity's been dragging the show down now for quite a while...it's not just this incident with her. I think there's been too much focus on the cringeworthy romance between her and Oliver to the detriment of the show in general.

It really hasn't gotten the bulk of the focus this season. It's been mature by and large. She's not dragging down the show. The people saying that say so for 2 reasons, either they are guys and don't like romance on shows or they dislike it simply because Green Arrow is with someone other than Black Canary. I've seen people complain about even the simplest of gestures and say it's too much which leads me to think that most of the criticisms are disengenuous. The romantic chemistry between EBR and Amell is far more convincing than Amell and Cassidy. The biggest criticism of Felicity that holds up is her mother is a horrible character.
