Legends of Tomorrow Rounds Out Its Two-Part Pilot With a Shocking Death

Warning: Spoilers ahead for tonight's episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, titled "Pilot, Part Two."

All the way back in the very first teaser trailer for DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Rip Hunter teased that not every member of the team would survive their mission.

Tonight, that prophecy bore fruit as a member of the team died in the second half of the series' two-part pilot.

That would be Carter Hall, the alter ego of Hawkman, whose son, Dr. Aldus Boardman, was killed on last week's episode.

Hawkman tried to kill Vandal Savage and just when it appeared as though he'd won and the Legends' mission was accomplished, Savage turned the tide and was able to stab him with a blade that apparently only works on Savage if wielded by Hawkgirl.
