The Walking Dead is taking steps towards re-solidifying it's "No one is safe" mantra after this Sunday's midseason premiere.

Not only were several characters killed but Carl was finally shot in the eye in almost the exact same way his comic book counter part was on the pages of issue #82.

However, one looming cloud of the series lately has been the fact that they faked us out with Glenn's death, though most of predicted the pizza boy was still alive. Chandler Riggs, who has opened up about last night's big scene, promises we won't be faked out like that ever again.

"There's not going to be another fake-out, like you believe a character is dead and they come back," Riggs tells Huffington Post. "That's not going to happen again. No way. I do think there are some big and exciting moments, and they're going to shock a lot of people."

Well, we all know Negan is coming, so there won't be any fake-out deaths during his time on The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
