When the "Zoom is Coming" trailer for the second half of The Flash Season Two hit, many fans suspected the image above was in fact a first look at Trajectory, one of the speedsters confirmed to be coming to the show this season.

ComicBook.com has now confirmed as much with The CW.

Played by Allison Paige, Trajectory will be an "exceptionally bright scientist" with a "split personality a la Jekyll and Hyde."

In the comics, Eliza Harmon was given speed powers by Lex Luthor as part of the Everyman Project, where he gave a large number of people drugs to bring out their metagene in order to replace Superman, when he vanished following the events of Infinite Crisis. She died shortly after, as did most of the Everyman subjects.

In a world without Lex Luthor, one has to wonder if her origin story will resemble that at all, or whether there's somebody else out there giving people powers for shady reasons.

Paige will bring the show's first female speedster to life, predating Jesse Quick, who was also cast earlier this season (but turned out to be the daughter of Earth-2's Harrison Wells, rather than sharing her comic book lineage). Jesse is poised to be a major part of tonight's episode, "Escape From Earth-2."

She'll debut in Episode 16; here's her official description: "Having arrived in town intent on creating maximum chaos, Trajectory's antics are misinterpreted as having been perpetrated by the Flash himself. Barry thus must quickly uncover the mystery of who is the girl under the mask — as well as what is driving her mad desire for speed and destruction."
