Supergirl is getting another powerful villain to face, and this one's a scream (sorry). Silver Banshee aka Siobhan Smythe will first appear in the Monday February 22, 2016 episode courtesy of actress Italia Ricci.

A first look of the actress in full Silver Banshee makeup and styling was released on ETOnline, with the character in full screaming mode.

"We are so excited to be working with Italia," EP Andrew Kreisberg told ET. "We've been a fan of her work for years and we cannot wait to see her take on this iconic comic book role."

Ricci is engaged to fellow DC Entertainment TV star Robbie Amell, who has played Ronnie Raymond on The Flash in two alter-egos, Firestorm and Deathstorm.

In the episode, "Truth, Justice and the American Way," Supergirl and Silver Banshee will face off, but only after Kara and Siobhan do. From the official description:

"Supergirl does battle with the deadly Master Jailer (Jeff Branson), who is hunting and executing escaped Fort Rozz prisoners. Also, Cat hires a second assistant, Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci), who immediately tries to one-up Kara, and Kara and James disagree over the DEO’s methods."

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS.

I've always liked Silver Banshee just wish she had taken off and gotten bigger than she has.

Is the character Syren from "Mortal Kombat II" a rip-off of Silver Banshee? I think she looks just like her plus she has sonic vocal powers.
