DC Comics Sitcom Powerless Adds Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi, And Christina Kirk

Alan Tudyk Danny Pudi

Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Rogue One), Danny Pudi (Community), and Christina Kirk (A to Z) have been added as series regulars to the cast of NBC’s DC Comics sitcom Powerless.

Here are the descriptions of Tudyk, Pudi, and Kirk’s characters:

• Danny Pudi is Teddy, best friend of Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) at work and her trusted confidante. He spends his days creating time-wasting pranks as a way to make their office, the “least Super place on earth,” just a little less “unsuper.”

• Alan Tudyk is Del, Emily’s new boss in the claims department. Del has just been promoted — not through any merit of his own, but because he’s the owner’s son. A self-proclaimed “rich, over-educated globetrotting wastrel,” Del is a power-mad disastrous dictator of a boss.

• Christina Kirk is Jackie. A fan of Super Heroes, Jackie has plastered her office cubicle with beefcake shots of super guys. New claims department boss Del makes her his personal assistant, and she begins buckling under his unreasonable and impossible demands.

The trio join Vanessa Hudgens, who will play the series lead.

Powerless is set in the DC Universe of superheroes, but focuses on employees of an insurance company that deals with superhero damages. The pilot will be written by executive producer Ben Queen and directed by Michael Patrick Jann.

Okay, they had me already, but Alan Tudyk is a ghod and Danny Pudi is comedy platinum. The only way they could make this better is if they added Donald Glover as well!

  1. Doooope! Love those guys.

  2. Didn't think this show was going to do very well compared to Damage Control, but the on screen talent look pretty interesting. I might have to give this show a chance now.

I had no hope in this how. After reading the casting that opinion has (big-time) changed.
