We still don't know who Jena Malone was cast to play in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it now sounds like that answer won't be coming anytime soon. That's because her character, still a mystery, was cut from the theatrical release.

That's the report from EW today, as their extensive BvS coverage continues with the new issue out on stands tomorrow.

They do note, very specifically, that they're talking about the theatrical release, and tease that there will be more information on the extended cut, which you probably heard will be rated R, in tomorrow's portion of their report. The theatrical cut is already 2 hours and 31 minutes long, so look for that extended release, including Malone's role and scene, to be close to the three hour mark.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters - without Jena Malone's role - on March 25, 2016.
