Now that Season 2 is in the books, fans of Marvel's Agent Carter want to know if ABC will give it a third. According to a source for Nerd Reactor, they will!
NR reports: "A source within the studio has revealed to us that ABC has decided to stick with the show and will be renewing Agent Carter for season three."
The reviews for Season 2 were strong and on par with its inaugural season. However, Season 2 was plagued with low ratings, and its finale only mustered a paltry 2.5 million viewers and a 0.7 in adults 18-49. That's a substantial drop from last year's finale, which pulled in 4.02 million viewers and a 1.3 in adults 18-49.
To be even more of a buzzkill, the show has been on a steady decline since it debuted in January 2015. It started off strong with 6.9 million viewers, but nearly each week viewership has dropped: 5.1M, 4.6M, 4.2M, 4.25M, 4.15M, 4.02M (Season 1 finale), 3.18M (Season 2 premiere), 2.9M, 2.77M, 2.66M, 2.39M, 2.5M, and 2.35M (Season 2 finale).
We reached out to one of our sources and we were told Season 3 is not a done deal yet.
