Move over Gary Oldman, there's a new commissioner in town!
On Monday, we all learned that J.K. Simmons, the Oscar-winning actor that won over comic book fans with his spot-on portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films and the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, will play Gotham City Police Commissioner, Jim Gordon, in Justice League.
The moment it was announced we began to wonder what Simmons might look like with Gordon's signature mustache. And since Ben Affleck is playing a version of Batman that's past his prime, it also made sense to visualize Simmons's Gordon with gray hair to show the passage of time.
To help form that mental image, we had the extremely-talented artist Boss Logic create this beautiful work of art. Check out the silver fox directly below.
Justice League, written by Chris Terrio (Argo) and directed by Snyder, is expected to start filming in April for a November 2017 release. The ultimate DC Comics' team-up film will star Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash (Ezra Miller), Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
