Netflix's move into exclusive movies is getting bolder.

The online streaming service is looking into making a purchase of the Will Smith starring, David Ayer directed supernatural cop film, Bright. The company came out on top of a bidding war for the film earlier today, though sources tell THR the deal is still far from done.

Bright features not one, but two Suicide Squad stars in Smith and Joel Edgerton, with Ayer having director both, and Max Landis behind the script.

The setting is a world where magical creatures live side by side with humans and the police have a division handling crimes which involve magic. Smith plays a human cop forced to work with and Orc, played by Edgerton, to find something that unsavory elements are prepared to kill for: a powerful wand.

This wouldn't be the first of Netflix's exclusive movie properties but probably the highest profile. Previously, the streaming service exclusively offered Beast of No Burden, The Ridiculous 6, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny.
