The CW has renewed all ten of its currently airing series, including all four current DC Comics productions. Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow that all share a universe got a blanket renewal for their fifth, third, and second seasons respectively, and DC/Vertigo's iZombie got a third season as well.

The four series were part of a total of eleven series getting an early renewal from the CW president Mark Pedowitz for the 2016-2017 season. That's all ten shows currently airing: Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Supernatural, The 100, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals rounding that category out, plus the spring/summer series Reign.

"The CW has become home to some of the most critically-acclaimed shows on broadcast television, with a wide array of fantastic scripted series across the week, ranging from musical comedy, to superhero action, to gritty sci-fi dramas," said Pedowitz in a press release. "As we continue to further our strategy of more year-round original programming, picking up these 11 series for the 2016-2017 season puts us in a great position of having proven, high-quality shows to launch in the fall as well as midseason and summer of 2017."

The network, whose three leading shows in the ratings are their DC Universe programs, did not give any details on the pickups, including episode counts or planned premieres, so it's uncertain whether they'll all be fall launches, or split between fall and spring as they were this year (Legends was a mid-season debut).

Three of these shows, iZombie, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Jane the Virgin were considered "on the bubble" by most ratings watchers, though their dedicated fanbases, consistent critical success, and bolstered numbers by app-viewing like Hulu likely helped push them over the hump.
