During tonight's episode of the Talking Dead, host Chris Hardwick announced that The Walking Dead will be getting an all-new, year-round attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood.

According to AMC, visitors to the attraction will be able to follow in the survivors' footsteps for a fully immersive journey, using both animatronics and live performers.

Executive producer and director Greg Nicotero and The Walking Dead's production team were involved in the creation of the attraction's landscapes, special effects, props, staging, costumes and makeup.

In a statement, Larry Kurzweil, who is President of Universal Studios Hollywood, said, "The Walking Dead is a phenomenon that has successfully and consistently affected the psyche of viewers on a global basis, since its debut. We're taking its intensity to the next level by collaborating with the show's award-winning production team to create an authentic living representation of the series that can only be experienced at Universal Studios Hollywood."

The Walking Dead Attraction is scheduled to open at Universal Studios Hollywood during the Summer of 2016.
