Ben Affleck has cited his 4-year-old son, Samuel, as one of the reasons he took The Dark Knight role. However, Samuel will have to be satisfied with watching his father fight crime in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailers and TV spots as he's not old enough to see the PG-13 film in its entirety. Shocking!

"Four years old is a little young to see this whole movie," Affleck told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't want him to have nightmares." Nevertheless, Affleck will try to get a one-of-a-kind kid-friendly cut of the film made, so Samuel can at least experience that. "I'll have to con one of the editors into giving me a truncated version of the movie without some of the scarier stuff."

Though I'm sure Affleck's oldest daughter, Violet, 10, will be happy to tell her younger brother all about it.

In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016.
