Following the rumors that Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley was in talks to become the face of the Tomb Raider saga, the actress has confirmed that there "have been conversations" about putting her in the role.
“I’m waiting for someone to say ‘I want you, let’s do it',” Ridley's says, adding that there isn't a script for the next Lara Croft story just yet.
Well then, let me be the first to say: We want you to be Lara Croft, Ms. Ridley. Let's do it.
We just have to get an official offer out there, now. Regarding whether or not she would go forward as Lara upon a real opportunity, Ridley says, "Absolutely, I’m trying to fill up my calendar."
Ridley is also getting support for her Episode VII co-star, John Boyega.
“I played Tomb Raider the game, it’s a new take and I think the movies are going to be based on that version,” says Boyega. “But I texted Daisy [and] was like, ‘this is you!’ and ‘you need to get on that because you could be Lara Croft.’ She should be."
Both actors are currently filming Star Wars: Episode VIII which is set for release in December of 2017.
