Tom Hiddleston Says Thor: Ragnarok Could Be His Last Time As Loki

Loki may be doing one of his disappearing acts after Thor: Ragnarok.

The actor who has been bring Loki to life on the big screen since 2011 is teasing that the third Thor film may be his last time as the mischevous Asgardian.

Thor 3 will be cool because I’ve not done it for four years,” Hiddleston tells The Daily Beast. “I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate.”

“I don’t know! Honestly, I don’t know,” Hiddleston admits about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “They haven’t got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along.”

Hiddleston is right about that. Marvel Studios features an always-evolving storyline in its grand scheme of continuity. That said, the Avengers: Infinity War movies are said to include 68 characters from the Marvel Universe so there is certainly plenty of room for Loki to pop up.

The last time we saw Loki, he was posing as Odin on Asgard's throne. Let's hope we're far from seeing the last of Hiddleston in the role!

Thor: Ragnarok is set for release November 3, 2017.

Well that's a shame, wanna see him in Infinity next to Thanos for a scene.

  1. Tom Hiddleston is awesome, but Loki is very over rated in the movies.

I suspect that happened because of the response to Hiddleston's take on Loki.

Wouldn't be the first time the way a character is portrayed by an actor/ess causes fans to want a LOT more than was intended.

Look at Idris Elba - I was 'meh' about having Heimdall... his gravitas = want more Heimdall.

Same for Gregg Clark's Agent Coulson - I highly doubt he was intended to be a thread throughout the MCU in addition to Fury, except how fans responded to him.
