Batman V Superman Repeat Ticket Purchases Are 30% Higher Than Typical Blockbuster

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice may have split audiences down the middle after a first viewing, but data shows that many are going back for a second round.

Fandango is reporting that Batman V Superman is leading ticket sales again for the second week in a row and that the blockbuster features 30% higher than normal repeat ticket purchases.

"Movie fans continue to be excited about the trinity of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, battling together on the big screen for the first time in history," said Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis. "This film is delivering something we've never seen before in a live-action superhero movie, and fans are returning to see it again in theaters this weekend."

While most expect the film to drop significantly next weekend, at least by 60%. Still, the fact that it's able to get repeat viewers into the seats is a nice feather in its cap.
