Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them May Feature Younger Albus Dumbledore

It shouldn't come as too big of a surprise, but we might see some younger Harry Potter characters in the Harry Potter spin-off movies.

Sorry, should've made sure you were sitting down.

After the mention of Albus Dumbledore in the new trailer (at the time a Transfiguration teacher at Hogwarts as a forty-something in the 1920s), MTV asked actor Dan Fogler, who plays Jacob in the film, about whether we'd just hear names or actually see them.

"As the stories go along, you will hear mention of your favorite characters. And you may meet their young counterparts along the way," Fogler teased.

With the longer lives of some of these wizards (because magic), it's only natural they'd want to feature those characters as they can. You know, a young boy named Tom Marvolo Riddle is said ot have been born in 1926, not too far off from the time-frame of this movie trilogy...

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters November 18, 2016, kicking off an all-new trilogy of stories in the past of the Harry Potter universe.
