Today is actress Angelina Jolie's birthday.

As one of Hollywood's biggest leads, Jolie has appeared in several blockbusters throughout her career. Comic book and fantasy fans will know her best, however, through roles like Maleficent in Disney's Maleficent, Fox in Wanted, and Lara Croft in both Tomb Raider films. She will be reprising her role as Maleficent in Disney's upcoming Maleficent 2.

Of course, Jolie's resume runs far deeper than those films. She also played Grendel's mother in the motion capture Beowulf film, Jane Smith in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Evelyn Salt in Salt. Kung-Fu Panda fans may also recognize her as the voice of Tigress in Kung-Fu Panda 2 and 3.
