Stamos Scream Queens

Scream Queens was a pleasant surprise last season, and will be returning to FOX in the Fall, with a notable new addition.

Emmy Award-nominated actor John Stamos (Grandfathered, Fuller House) is joining the cast for season two as Dr Brock Holt. FOX describes him as a "brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon", and he will be a recurring character throughout the season. Season 2 switches locales from their Sorority house to a Hospital, where Stamos' character resides.

In addition to Stamos, the cast of season one will be returning for their second season, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell, and Niecy Nash, and in their same characters. At one point I thought they would adopt the American Horror Story casting method, retaining the same cast but in different parts, but that is evidently not the case.

The show is being Executive Produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan. Murphy actually previously worked with Stamos on Glee and The New Normal, and since Stamos has successfully relaunched Fuller House on Netflix, itself getting a second season order as well.

Scream Queens season 2 will premiere on Fox on September 20th. You can read the official description of the upcoming season below.

"Season Two of Scream Queens graduates from the college campus and into an all-new location, as a terrifyingly funny mystery will begin once again. Set in a hospital, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation, Stamos will play Dr. Brock Holt, the hospital's brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon."
