To celebrate the 4th of July, Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new promo for their raunchy animated film Sausage Party.

"Fried. Boiled. Eyes gouged and torn in half. Hi, I'm Frank," says Seth Rogen's hot dog character. "In the time it took me to say 'Hi, I'm Frank' over 2 million of my friends will have expired from these unnatural causes. All because of you and your insatiable hunger for killing. Some of you eat when you're not even hungry. You're just like 'I'm bored. I know, I'll wipe out a family of potato chips.' Anyway, this Fourth of July, destroy your barbecue. Because remember, grills killzzz."

Sausage Party, the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store.

The film features the vocal talents of a who's who of today's comedy stars – Seth Rogen (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), Kristen Wiig (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street), Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live), Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), James Franco (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down), Craig Robinson (Zack and Miri Make a Porno), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War), Nick Kroll (The League), David Krumholtz (Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay), Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk), and Salma Hayek (From Dusk till Dawn).

The film is directed By Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan. The story was written By Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Jonah Hill. The screenplay was penned by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, and Ariel Shaffir. It was produced by Megan Ellison, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Conrad Vernon. Jonah Hill, James Weaver, Ariel Shaffir, and Kyle Hunter served as executive producers.

Sausage Party hits theaters on August 12th.
