D23 Expo returns in 2017, as the biennial event celebrating all things Disney heads back to the Anaheim Convention Center next year. D23 Expo 2017 will take over Anaheim July 14-16, 2017, and tickets will go on sale one year before the show begins, on July 14, 2016 at 10am Pacific Time.
D23 Expo 2017 is the fifth biennial event in Anaheim, and will bring all of Walt Disney Company to celebrate: Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Consumer Products, Disney Interactive, and Media Networks. If you purchase tickets from July 14-December 31, 2016, you'll get them at a discount of $67 for a one-day adult admission, $46 for a one-day child (3-12 years-old) ticket. D23 Fan Club members get them at $57 and $41, respectively.
Traditionally, in years when D23 Expo hits, Marvel Studios tends to skip the annual San Diego Comic-Con, which will likely take place the weekend after D23 Expo next year. It's a big move for Disney to put the Expo directly ahead of Comic-Con, and could indicate a complete pull out of SDCC in 2017, though that's unconfirmed speculation.
The Sorcerer Package returns, as well, providing a special VIP experience for D23 Gold and Gold Family members for $2250 per ticket. It's a true VIP experience, with exclusive collectibles, tours, seating, meet and greets, and receptions:
- Three-day admission ticket and commemorative Sorcerer credential
- Reserved seating at presentations in Hall D23, Stage 23, and Stage 28
- Limited-edition D23 American Tourister boarding bag

To celebrate the announcement, D23Expo.com will stream presentations from D23 Expo 2015 from Wednesday July 13 to Sunday July 17 (though some Disney fans - Lucasfilm ones, to be specific, will be spending that time with Star Wars Celebration, their other convention, in London).
