Poor Gendry. The character was sent of to sea on row boat by the end of Game of Thrones' third season, apparently never to be heard from again. Even in balancing the massive amount of character storylines it does, Thrones still refuses to answer the question, "Where is Robert Baratheon's bastard son, Gendry?"

Several characters made returns in season six after long periods of absence but Gendry wasn't one. Gendry actor Joe Dempsie has even poked fun at the absence.

Now, the Game of Thrones showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff are having their own fun with Gendry's whereabouts. When asked if where Gendry has been all this time on their UFC Unfiltered podcast, they had a witty response which really gets us nowhere...

Dan Weiss: "He's still rowing."

David Benioff: "Yes, he's still rowing. It's a long, a very long..."

Weiss: "He's coming up on Florida."

Benioff: "He's getting in great shape. Think of the shape he's in after rowing for four seasons."

Weiss: "Big lats."

If Gendry is going to make a comeback, he'd better hurry up. Game of Thrones has only two seasons remaining in its lifespan with an estimated total of 13-episodes making them up. The show was expected to return in April but, in the same interview, the showrunners predicted season 7 may get a bit of a later start than originally expected.
