The King of Monsters is making a comeback with Godzilla: Resurgence later this month, and it looks like new details about the Japanese film have just been revealed in a new promotional video.

Distributed by Toho, the upcoming sci-fi flick is now reportedly clocking in with a runtime of 118 minutes. The behind-the-scenes clip also includes a short synopsis which has been translated for foreign fans who don't have a great grip on their Japanese. Sourced by Gormaru Island's Facebook page, the description can be read below:

"A cause unknown, an accident has occurred in the tunnels of the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line, causing an emergency cabinet meeting to convene. Immediately afterwards, a huge creature appears, destroying town after town with its landing reaching the capital. The mysterious giant organism named "Godzilla."

Ahead of its release, Toho has kept fairly quiet about the film's details as they've only officially released the vaguest of details. Clearly, the production company wants to do all they can to protect Godzilla's secrets as Godzilla: Resurgence will mark the first time the creature has emerged in modern-day Japan.

The film, which was announced in December 2014, excited Japanese fans as their famous monster was finally returning home for a new domestic film. Toho was prompted to revisit the franchise after it was thrust into the spotlight following a successful American reboot with Legendary Pictures' Godzilla (2014). Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, the film grossed over $529 million worldwide and has since spawned an entire franchise with Godzilla 2 slated to release on March 22, 2019 and Godzilla vs. Kong anticipated for 2020.

Currently, there are no plans to release the film in America. While descriptions and fan-subs of Godzilla: Resurgence may eventually find their way onto the Internet, desperate fans can always go back and watch the original Godzilla film from the 1950s if they're feeling really desperate.
