The Walking Dead has always been a franchise that could see the most beloved characters murdered at a moment's notice. Its comics have shown fans they should never assume a character is safe, and now, The Walking Dead show has done the same. With the show's seventh season airing this fall, fans know a major character will die at the hands of Negan, but no one knows if the death will be canonical. Actor Steven Yuen, however, still wanted to share his thoughts about the comics' intersection with the show at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend.

At The Walking Dead's panel, moderator Chris Hardwick asked a question which many fans have been wanting answered. In the face of Season 7, Hardwick asked how Yeun felt about the show reaching the events of Issue 100. Said issue, of course, reveals which member of Rick's group is brutally murdered by Negan in a warped display of power.

Spoiler ahead! And, after taunting the pleading group, Negan ultimately selects Glenn to be his target before he bashes his bat into the other man's head.

When asked how he felt about the show reaching this point in the comics, Yeun said, "I've always been a huge fan of the comics, and I remember that particular issue. My cousin called me and was like, "Yo, Glenn's got it too good right now. 100 is coming out. I don't know what's going to happen." And, obviously, after 100 came out, I was like, "Oh, crap." It was an "Oh, crap," but it was also this amazing, "This is incredible." To be 100 issues and to land a bomb like this to propel it [the story] forward is so incredible."

A long-time fans of the comics, Yeun went on to say, "For me as a fan, I was like this moment is iconic, and however it happens, it's a great moment. And when we led up to it, to see all the components that were happening - to see Negan in the flesh - it's awesome to know that from here on out there's going to be an opening to just thrust the show even further. And, for me as a fan and participant, it's probably one of the coolest things ever."

Well, at least it's nice to hear that Yeun is a fan of the issue. But, considering the actor's job is at stake, fans might be surprised to learn of Yeun's positive reaction to the development. Many readers were heartbroken by the character's sudden death when Issue 100 was published back in July 2012. And, undoubtedly, a lot of The Walking Dead viewers will be gutted whenever one of Rick's group is killed - whether it's Glenn or not.

The Walking Dead will return to AMC on October 23rd 2016 for its Season 7 premiere.
