These days, Ezra Miller is a force to be reckoned with. While the actor got his start in projects like The Perk of Being a Wallflower, the actor has since stunned fans by signing onto two major film franchises. Ezra made headlines when Warner Bros. confirmed they had cast him to play Barry Allen/The Flash in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). And, not long after, the studio also confirmed Ezra will star in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

And, now, the actor is speaking out on how he landed both of these sought-after roles.

Speaking with Pottermore, Ezra recalled how he landed a role in the Harry Potter spin-off. "So I'd heard about the part and remember that to me – someone who got into Harry Potter so young, as a fan – I thought this was a universe that had been closed to me forever," he started.

"I improvise this character and I get a call two days later from David Yates," he explained. "By then, I had become so invested in that character and, if you look back at those tapes, I had already become Credence. There is so much of what I've done as Credence that just came to me that day."

However, there was one problem Ezra faced in securing the coveted Harry Potter role - The Flash. He said, "At that stage I'd already signed up to become [DC Comics character] The Flash and there were serious scheduling issues. For a while it looked like I wouldn't be able to do this movie."

Ezra was determined to star in both franchises, and the actor was willing to fight for the roles. He even went so far as to use Humphrey Bogart to back-up his case by pointing out the legend's strong relationship with Warner Bros. For Ezra, he was willing to form that kind of tight bond with the studio as well, prompting Warner Bros. to green-light the actor's complicated shooting schedule.

"They move mountains," he said. "Big, huge mountains are moved and we make it work."

When it comes to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Ezra can't say much about his secretive role. He did speak with Entertainment Weekly about how he reacted to landing the role. "Getting the role was a moment of absolute ecstatic joy and sort of transcendent sense of completion," he recalled. "I was doing some sort of slightly epileptic dance in the street of New York City, dropping to my knees, crying, praising the heavens, with people looking at me like I should be institutionalized."

And, as for The Flash, Ezra seems optimistic that director Rick Fumiyama will inject some much-needed fun into the character's standalone film. "I think there's just an intention to make something extremely fun and something superhuman and something deeply human," he said. Of course, many fans have said they're excited to see a bit more humor enter the DCEU following the somber overtones of both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released later this year on November 11 while Justice League hits theaters on November 17 2017.
