Every television series has its share of fans and detractors, and Arrow is no different. Some of that is due to the fact that Arrow serves as the home planet as it were of the CW DC universe, and the last few seasons it's had to launch spinoffs like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

The creators, which includes writer Marc Guggenheim, are well aware of this and have pitched season 5 as a return to the more grounded roots of the first few seasons, taking an emphasis off of superpowers and focusing on close quarters and reality based combat.

That's all well and good, but there are those who don't' feel as if Guggenheim and his team should be anywhere near the show, and the internet being the internet, they've expressed themselves quite loudly and frequently. On Guggenheim's Tumblr account, there was a particular exchange that caught fan's attention and saw it as a possible airing out of bad blood between Guggenheim and chief creative officer and head of film Geoff Johns.

"Thank you. I appreciate that. I'm sure Geoff and a whole mess of other people have lobbied to remove me from the show. I think they overestimate their influence."

It's amazing the difference one word can make, though, and Guggenheim told Bleeding Cool that the sentence was supposed to include the word "been", as in "I'm sure Geoff and a whole mess of other people have "been" lobbied to remove me from the show."

Those looking for a squabble between the two creators will just have to go elsewhere.

Arrow airs on The CW on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m.
