Jon Bernthal Says Punisher Would Beat Batman

The Punisher and Batman happen to stand on opposite sides when it comes to taking lives, but both vigilantes are skilled combatants, and a throwdown between them would be a brutal but entertaining thing to behold.

That said, if you ask Punisher actor Jon Bernthal who would win in a fight between the two fan favorites, it's not even a question. That's what he was asked at New York Comic-Con during a panel speed round Q&A, and before the fan even finished the sentence he had already answered "Punisher". It's not shocking that he said he would win, but the speed in which he confirmed it was the most amusing part.

Fans were disappointed that they couldn't see more of Bernthal at the convention, which was due to his Netflix production schedule. While they couldn't see him in person, his current schedule means he is actually already at work on his upcoming solo series, something that should delight fans. The series is currently going by the temporary name "Crime", and as teased in Daredevil season 2, the plot will somehow involve his weapons supplier Micro.

In addition to his solo series, fans are hopeful that Bernthal's Punisher will make a cameo in the upcoming Defenders series, which joins Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the upcoming Iron Fist together to take down an as yet unknown threat.
