The quest for the Apple of Eden is approaching quickly, and now fans in the U.K. can start to schedule their theater outings accordingly.
The studio has announced that the film will hit the United Kingdom on January 1st. To celebrate the announcement they've also included a new poster for the anticipated film, which can be viewed in the gallery.
The ongoing conflict between the Templars and the Assassins will be featured front and center in director Justin Kurzel's take on the franchise, and actor Michael Fassbender described exactly what's at stake.
"Assassins are making sure that freedom is still protected and cherished," Fassbender said of hte modern day storyline. "The concept of Assassins and Templars battling through the centuries is a fantastic cinematic experience. It's original and inventive."
"Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

Assassin's Creed hits theaters on December 21.
