The Suicide Squad extended cut might not contain as much Joker as people had hoped, but it does include some additional footage, some of which is spotlighted in a new Suicide Squad featurette.

In a new clip included with the Digital and Blu-ray versions of the film, Joker actor Jared Leto talks about how he approached the role of the Joker, and a peek at some of the behind the scenes footage (via Empire).

"This role has been interpreted so beautifully, but then there's the other side, what else can you uncover? What are the other parts to this story or this life, what can you do that hasn't been done? That side of me that likes exploration, that likes adventure, that likes to push the envelope, that was set on fire immediately. I knew that I was going to have to dive really deep and go to a place where I've never gone before."

You can view the clip in the video above.

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

Suicide Squad is direct by David Ayer and stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.

Suicide Squad is currently available on Digital HD and will land on Blu-ray December 13.
