After the mind-blowing season finale of HBO's Westworld, we're sifting back through the episode to see what hints or clues we can find in relation to the second season.
Showrunners Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan did say that every question would be answered in the finale except for one - "What happen's next?"
We did spot something shiny and foreign...
As Meave was making her (programmed by Ford) escape, she walked through part of the Delos offices that we haven't seen before where hosts were wearing traditional Japanese warrior gear and engaged in combat with Samurai Swords.
Yes, we did indeed see Samurai swords, which clearly hints to Season 2 of Westworld.
The original Westworld movie (written and directed by mastermind Michael Crichton) had theme parts other than the old wild west such as Roman World and Midieval World that guests could visit...and create havoc.
Felix said Park 1...
When Felix was in the elevator to the outside world with Maeve, he told her that he found the information she was looking for and handed her a piece of paper.
He told her that her "daughter" was located in Park 1.
This means there must be a Park 2, Park 3, Park 4 and so on.
In an interview with Variety, Nolan was asked if SW means Samurai World, to which he responded, "Stay tuned."
According to Deadline, Nolan is hoping to have Samurai World play out in Season 2. Remember that every single detail (as we learned) is put there for an underlying reason.
Lisa Joy reiterated that no matter where the action takes place, the series will always be called Westworld, just like the original movie.
Consindering that the writer's room for the second season is currently in it's tenth week creating, we can assume they already know where the next setting is.
Although they won't be abandoning Westworld, get ready for a trip to the Far East.
Westworld will return for season 2 on HBO in 2018.
