Pink and Green Dream Team
After the new Power Rangers finally defeat Rita Repulsa and her Goldar monster, the entire town of Angel Grove looks on in awe of the Rangers and their Megazord. Naturally, the cell phones come and people start snapping away - and front and center of the crowd are none other than Amy Jo Johnson and Jason David Frank!
If you don't recognize the names: Amy Jo Johnson played the Pink Ranger in the '90s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series; Jason David Frank is the franchise icon, starting as The Green Ranger in '90s MMPR, and returning for different installments of the show all the way up until 2014! In the original show, Johnson's Kimberly and Frank's Tommy were actually an item - something that the film hints at, as well.
Amy Jo Johnson is a face that many fans expected to see - but when word leaked out early (via a different former Power Rangers actor) that Jason David Frank would be in the film, the actor actually responded with an outright denial! So for all those who always think rumors are wrong and celebrities are "trusted sources," remember this example...
