Disney fans, you need to prepare yourselves for a rather expensive vacation. That is, unless you already live in Tokyo.
If you are a lover of all things Disney, then you will need to get your passport ready by 2020. The folks behind Disneyland Tokyo have officially announced plans to bring attractions based on Big Hero 6 and Beauty and the Beast to its location. A release published by Oriental Land Col, Ltd. let fans know about the impending construction, and Disney fans everywhere are already feeling whimsical over the park’s big plans.
You can check out full details about the two upcoming attractions in the following slides!
Beauty and the Beast
First, Disneyland Tokyo is set to make some major park changes to accommodate a new area for Beauty and the Beast. The theme park is set to expand its Fantasyland area so it will include a new section dedicated to the classic story. The area will specifically be based on the film live-action Beauty and the Beast film, and it will have a themed ride, shops, and a restaurant.
So far, details about the section are being kept safe, but fans do know a few specific highlights. The Beast’s castle will be built on-site for fans to visit, and the area will also have a dedicated indoor theater.
Big Hero 6
The second big change coming to Disneyland Tokyo is Big Hero 6. The fan-favorite film made its debut years ago, and audiences still fawn over Baymax’s charm. With Disney set to debut an animated television show about the franchise, it is the perfect time to bring back the ragtag superhero team. To do so, the park will be adding a Big Hero 6 ride to Tomorrowland. The attraction will feature Baymax as he invites attendees to go on a musical ride with their own personal healthcare companion.
