Dark Tower: The Long Road Home is a Marvel Comics adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower. In order to celebrate this huge comic event, Marvel Comics is offering a midnight release of Dark Tower: The Long Road Home #1 on the night of Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Retailers participating in this even will open at 12:01 AM on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 to allow Stephen King fans to buy the first issue. A list of participating retailers can be found at: https://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.2663. In Dark Tower: The Long Road Home, Roland Deschain and his ka-tet fight for their survival. After the death of Susan, Roland and his companions try to make their way home. However, the Big Coffin Hunters are on their trail and visions of Susan's death haunt Roland. Roland falls into a coma, and the people who burned Susan try to make him their next victim. "The nationwide midnight release will continue the huge momentum and impression that this comic book series has made--and continues to have--on Dark Tower enthusiasts, comic book fans, and just about anyone who enjoys a compelling storytelling," said Ruwan Jayatilleke, Vice President of Development of Marvel Entertainment, Inc. Dark Tower: The Long Road Home was created under the direction and guidance of Stephen King himself. The series follows the events of Dark Tower: Gunslinger Born. Dark Tower: Gunslinger Born is currently available as a hard cover, 240 page graphic novel. The graphic novel includes the entire initial story arc with bonus material. New pieces of art from Jae Lee are highlighted in the graphic novel.
