Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be released on Blu-ray Disc and as a special edition DVD with digital copy on September 15, 2009. The movie, which made over $175 Million at the box office, stars Hugh Jackman as everyone's favorite mutant with razor-sharp claws. The Blue-Ray disc will feature "Live Lookup," which is an interactive IMDB BD-Live technology. X-Men Origins: Wolverine spans over 150 years and chronicles young James Logan and his tortured past, as he journeys from boy, to man, to mutant. The movie covers Logan's conflicts with his half brother Victor Creed, who is better known as Sabretooth, his membership in Team X, his infamous adamantium rebirth and the total memory loss that ultimately fuels his angry quest. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is directed by Gavin Hood from a script by David Benioff and Skip Woods. X-Men Origins: Wolverine also stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, Danny Huston as Colonel William Stryker, Dominic Monaghan as Bolt and Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.Am as Wraith. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine BD and Special Edition DVD are both loaded with bonus material including commentary by director Hood and producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter, a conversation with Wolverine creators Stan Lee and Len Wein, deleted and alternate scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes and much more. The Ultimate 2-Disc Blu-ray will be available for a suggested retail price of $39.99 while the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD will be available for $34.98 U.S., both featuring Digital Copy. Additionally, a single-disc DVD will be available for $29.98.
