"Kick-Ass" writer Mark Millar has long talked about a sequel to the yet to be released adaptation starring Aaron Johnson. And now, according to Splashpage, Millar gives confirmation: there will be a sequel to 'Kick-Ass', which will hit theaters next April.

"We don't want to sound too cocky, but we know this is good", Millar said. "It didn't cost that much money to make. There will definitely be another one."

According to Millar, the first "Kick-Ass" film will end with a teaser for the follow up film. Either that's cockiness, or Millar knows the sequel has already been greenlit. No word on whether or not director Matthew Vaughn would help the 2nd film, but with as much enthusiasm Vaughn has shown about the April release, we'd have to think he'd be on board for the sequel.
