Platinum Studios will adapt its comic book series ‘The Weapon’ into a film, according to the Hollywood Reporter. David Henrie of the TV series “Wizards of Waverly Place” will star.
“The Weapon” centers on Tommy Zhou, a martial arts expert who invents a lasor resonator that can generate any form of weapon he wants.
“The Weapon’ is so awesome, and my Disney audience will enjoy the empowerment and action-filled journey my character experiences,” Henrie said. “I’m a huge fan and student of MMA, and I hope to bring that to the character of Tommy.”
Henrie is a little boyish for us to play Zhou, but we’re hoping he pulls off the role.
