Tom Hooper, the acclaimed director of the Best Picture nominated ‘The King’s Speech’, was offered–and turned down–the Director Role for ‘Iron Man 3′, according to the LA Times. Rather than hop on a fast moving train, Hooper wants to direct–wait for it–a remake of ‘Les Miserables’. Apparently, Hooper wants to stay as far away from the mainstream as possible.
Shane Black of ‘Lethal Weapon’ fame, took the director’s gig for ‘Iron Man 3′ last week.
