It's not all fun and games at this year's Comic-Con! Earlier today, British actor Rhys Ifans, who will play the villain The Lizard in next year's The Amazing Spider-Man, was arrested for battery on Friday evening at the international pop culture festival. According to a San Diego police spokeswoman, "He was abusive, belligerent and aggressive, and shoved a female security guard." The incident seemed to spark from a security clearance issue, as one of Ifans entourage did not have the appropriate clearance to enter an event for the cast of the upcoming film. In more details revealed about the incident, Ifans used profanity, said derogatory things about the United States and claimed, "I don't live here". Alcohol was also detected on the British star's breath, but no citations for intoxication were given. The guard who was shoved used a citizen's arrest, and Ifans was cited by the San Diego Police Department. The district attorney must now decide to press further charges. Sony Pictures issued a statement saying that they "regretted" the incident.
