Lots of internet buzz around superhero and villain costumes in upcoming comic book movies. Everyone is talking about official and leaked photos from The Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spider-Man, Man of Steel, and even Ghost Rider 2. Here’s a look at some of the official photos making the rounds.
First up is Henry Cavill as Superman. The costume is very similar to the classic comic book costume, but there don’t appear to be red trunks, the S is slight different, and the costume has a rubbery textured look. However, the biggest change is not the costume, but the slicked back hair instead of the classic curl in the front.
Next up is Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. Warner Bros. apparently likes to torture comic book fans with these action shots that don’t reveal the full costume. Plus, since the photo is labeled Selina Kyle, no one knows if this is the complete Catwoman look that will be shown in the movie.
The Amazing Spider-Man might be the most controversial costume of all. The new Spider-Man movie costume is still in classic red, black, and blue, but it has a very textured look. Some fans have complained that the new suit makes Spider-Man look like a basketball. However, Andrew Garfield won over a lot of doubters at Comic-Con.
While the original Ghost Rider movie had its critics, Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance seems to be generating a lot of buzz. Whether the sequel will be much better than the original only time will tell, but the Ghost Rider costume is definitely smoking hot.
