I feel like a broken record, but it sure is nice to see something fresh hit the market every once in a while.  Twice this week, Image Comics has done just that.  First, there was 'Dancer,' now there is 'Danger Club.' Created by Landry Walker and Eric Jones (co-creators of 'Supergirl: Cosmic Aventures in the 8th Grade' and 'Batman: The Brave and the Bold'), 'Danger Club' centers on a group of teenage sidekicks that must protect the world from evil after all of the adult superheroes disappear.  It's a fascinating concept, as the possibilities are endless. "Eric and I wanted to take the typical assortment of sidekicks and strip them of their authority figures," explained Walker. "These are the most powerful beings on the planet, and the oldest is around sixteen. You take any group of teenagers and put them in a positions of absolute power... there will be some serious consequences. Some will seek to recreate the familiar hierarchy or attempt to establish their dominance while some will some will rise to the occasion." Think about that—a 16 year old is the oldest superhero on the planet.  Imagine the good—and bad—that could come from such a person.  Heck, it sounds like Walker and Jones have incorporated a bit of 'Lord of the Flies' into the superhero world.  Only in this case, there are other actual people to account for, as opposed to a group of kids stuck on an island. It'll be interesting to see how this series goes. "Danger Club" hits shelves April 4th.
