According to an e-mail just sent out from Comic-Con International, online badge (ticket) sales for this July's San Diego Comic Con will begin Saturday morning (March 3) at 8 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. The e-mail includes a link to a page that is not yet active, but which will come alive tomorrow morning in time for fans who have a Member ID already set up with the Comic Con to buy their badges for admission. Registration for a Member ID is currently closed and will reopen sometime after badges have gone on sale. Those who registered early will have advance access to the link in the e-mail, which will only work for those with a Member ID, but Comic Con still warned fans against sharing the address. "Although only those with a Member ID will be allowed to purchase a badge, the EPIC waiting room is open to the general public and if the link above is leaked online, we anticipate that several thousand people who did not sign-up for a Member ID will attempt to access the registration system erroneously," explains the e-mail. The e-mail suggested that fans looking to buy their tickets should visit and review a tip sheet they created for obtaining your badge. "We honestly wish we could accommodate each and every person who would like to attend the show," the e-mail says of the rather extraordinary lengths they've gone to this year in order to maintain order and cut down on ticket scalpers, "and while we are making strides to increase space by utilizing hotels and outdoor venues, the problem of attendance is one that all of us continue to work on constantly."
