Vue Cinemas has posted a description of Avengers Assemble, which lists the length of the movie at 150 minutes. Vue Cinemas is a multiplex cinema chain in the UK, and Avengers Assemble is the title that The Avengers movie will be released under in the UK. The name was apparently changed either for legal reasons or to avoid confusion with a popular British spy TV series called The Avengers, which ran during the sixties. The TV series still has a huge following, and there was even a movie called The Avengers based on the TV show released in the nineties. Next, to the title of the movie, there are the letters "tbc," which likely stands for "to be confirmed." However, if the Vue didn't have some reason to believe that the movie was 150 minutes in length, then they likely wouldn't have listed a running time at all. Given all the action that takes place in the Avengers trailer, it would make sense that director Joss Whedon would need at least two and a half hours to cover all of the storyline.
