Shooting has just begun on Gore Verbinski’s adaptation of The Lone Ranger for Disney, but the studio has already made the first image of Arnie Hammer in the title role and Johnny Depp as his faithful sidekick Tonto available.
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, The Lone Ranger stars Arnie Hammer as John Reid, a Texas lawman who is driven to wear a mask and fight injustice in anonymity as The Lone Ranger.
The production has been in limbo for a couple of years and was even once removed from Disney’s production slate completely before being greenlit; principal photography for the film began on February 28.
