The internet is buzzing over some plot details revealed in casting calls for Iron Man 3 and Thor 2. The casting calls were posted by Feature Film Casting, and they seem to provide a story description of movies that have not had official descriptions released by Marvel Studios.
According to the story description for Thor 2, “The plot will take Thor literally to other worlds. It will primarily be the journey of that character, of he and Jane Foster and how the new dynamic with his father is working out, as well as what are the broader stakes for The Nine Worlds.”
According to the story description for Iron Man 3, “In this third installment of the Marvel Studios film adaptations of “Iron Man”, the storyline is being described by writer/director Shane Black as being a Tom Clancy-thriller, with Iron Man fighting real world villains. Black stated “the studio wasn’t happy with the result of Iron Man 2, a result that pretty much came about due to a rushed production in an attempt to hit a release date rather than simply make a good film, but I digress. Iron Man 3 will not be another ‘two men in iron suits fighting each other’.”
While the Thor 2 description sounds like it might be real, the Iron Man 3 description sounds a little too candid to be something official from a studio. We did a little searching around the Internet, and the Thor 2 description appears to come from an Entertainment Weekly article and the Iron Man 3 description appears to come from an Ain’t It Cool News article.
Since the information from the casting calls appears to be cobbled together from other sources, there’s no guarantee that it is accurate plot information, but it is interesting.
