Comic Book Hot List for April 4, 2012

Spring has sprung!  Celebrate your pollen intake levels by picking up a VERY full list of new comics this week, courtesy of your favorite comic book publishers and your local comic book retailers!  There are some big happenings this week, so let's go ahead and see what's blooming tomorrow in the lush garden of your comic shop.  That's the last of my plant related jabber, I swear!

1.  Avengers Vs. X-Men #1  I mean, really.  Does this title NEED explanation!!  Pick it up and read!!  It's one

2.  Hulk #50  A great milestone and a great starting point for new readers, as The Ghoulish Haunted Hulk arc begins.

3.  Thunderbolts #172  Well, it's time!  The Thunderbolts of today face off with the Thunderbolts of yesteryear!

4.  Wolverine and the X-Men #8  Sabretooth is here, and he's got Beast in his crosshairs.

5.  Amazing Spider-Man #683  The Avengers! Spider-Man! The Sinister Six! Doctor Octopus!  Whew!

6.  Avengers Academy #28  The Runaways (not the teen girl rock group) and the Academy kids face off after last issues' tension.

7.  Uncanny X-Force #24  It's an Age of Apocalypse face-off, as AOA Iceman is marked for death.DC Comics

1.  Batwing #8  Batwing's confrontation with Massacre has brought him to Gotham City.  Now it's a fight to the finish with the Bat family at his side

2.  Justice League International #8  As one member falls, another joins, and just in time to go after Breakdown.

3.  Detective Comics #8  Scarecrow runs a race with Batman to unlock the secrets of one woman.  Who gets there first?

4.  Action Comics #8  The run or Morrison and Morales ends here, and what better way to go out than with Supes vs. Brainiac!

5.  Stormwatch #8  The gravity miners continue their assault, and Apollo has fallen.  Now what?

6.  Animal Man #8  The Rot continues to grow, and Animal Man has to keep the Hunters away from Maxine.

7.  Green Arrow #8  Talk about a family feud!  This one's got daddy issues AND sibling strife!

8.  Static Shock #8, Hawk and Dove #8, Men of War #8 and Static Shock #8  R.I.P. you four, we hardly knew ye!

1.  Danger Club #1  Only the teenage sidekicks of Earth's heroes remain in this new series focusing on a new evil forced upon heroes that must prove their worth early on.

2.  Spawn #218  It's the concluding piece to "The Gathering Storm" arc, and Spawn vs. Malebolgia is HERE!

3.  Savage Dragon #179  It's mass alien invasion here, and Angel Dragon, Savage and Malcolm all face different threats from it.

4.  Chew #25  Anyone in the market for a Cibopath?  You can get one here!

1.  Creepy Comics #8  You know you love your monthly dose of giant-sized, varied monster and creepy fun!

2.  Dragon Age: The Silent Grove #4  Continue to explore the mysteries of this popular game series with this next issue!

3.  Criminal Macabre: Die Die my Darling #1  This one-shot features fetal-siblings, good and evil battling and monster hunting!

1.  Warehouse 13 #5  The final issue of this limited series based on the series is here!

2.  The Lone Rangers Vol. 2 #4  Tonto is left for dead, and while the Lone Ranger may be in a town named Utopia, it's far from that!

3.  The Boys #65  Butcher and Homelander's battle takes a twist, like you didn't expect THAT to happen.
