In an interview with Newsarama this weekend, DC Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, writer of Green Lantern, Justice League and Aquaman, revealed that next month's Green Lantern #9 will give readers substantial clues as to the nature of "The Third Army," the upcoming crossover between the Green Lantern family of books. Modeled after "The Court of Owls" event in the Bat-titles and the similar Superman family event that's scheduled for this summer, "The Third Army" will kick off next month as Hal Jordan and Sinestro visit the homeworld of the Indigo Tribe, the mysterious group that took Black Hand captive following the events of the Johns-written Blackest Night event. "All the threats for the Corps have been external," said Johns, who apparently has forgotten about Sinestro's more villainous days. "And we're about to get to an internal one. And it's going to come at the worst possible time for the rest of the universe and for Hal and Sinestro." Johns' events have historically been big sellers for DC, especially his Green Lantern stories. Last month, Johns wrote three of the five best-selling digital titles for the publisher, all of which featured Green Lantern as either a lead or supporting character.
