This weekend, Boom! Studios revealed that fan-favorite writing duo Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning would be bringing the cosmic to Boom!
The team behind cult successes like the recent Guardians of the Galaxy at Marvel and Resurrection Man, currently in print at DC Comics, were the only piece of information released, however, in a “visual press release” that featured no title or art.
Today’s variety, however, has both. Titled Hypernaturals, the team seems very reminiscent of the strange, awesome feel that DnA accomplished with Guardians of the Galaxy, a bit like an old Omega Men comic from the ’80s viewed through David Lynch’s camera.
It’s unclear yet who the artist on the title is–does this style look familiar to anyone? Hopefully a name, and a little more information on the comic, will be forthcoming from the publisher soon.
